Mumbai Cricket Tour: April 2025
The maiden Mumbai tour
In April 2025, Cricket Lovers Global Academy took a U12 side from Essex on a nine-day pre-season tour of Mumbai. Forty-five students, parents and grandparents travelled together and stayed at the Taj Mahal Hotel.
The group trained with Jwala Singh, coach of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Prithvi Shaw, played local clubs, toured Wankhede Stadium, and spent half a day at an orphanage. They also met Matthew Hayden, Naman Ojha, and CLG coach Dean Minors.
The Essex Chronicle covered the trip on 5 June 2025. The academy now runs Mumbai as an annual tour, with the October 2026 family departure sold out.
