How we ran it
April 2025. A U12 side from Essex, nine days in Mumbai. Forty-five in the party: players, parents, grandparents. We stayed at the Taj Mahal Hotel.
They trained with Jwala Singh, who coaches Yashasvi Jaiswal and Prithvi Shaw. They played local clubs, had a tour of Wankhede Stadium, and spent half a day at an orphanage. Matthew Hayden, Naman Ojha, and our own Dean Minors came along too.
The Essex Chronicle ran the story on 5 June 2025. Mumbai is an annual tour now. The October 2026 family trip is sold out.
